What does Outreach & Enrollment mean?

Our Outreach & Enrollment team is staffed with Certified Indiana Navigators and Certified Application Counselors who have met training requirements to assist you and your family when applying for Medicaid or the Marketplace.

Enrolling in the Health Insurance Marketplace

Lately, people have been talking about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (also known as the Affordable Care Act) and want to know what this means to them. Simply stated, the Affordable Care Act offers health insurance plans for those without insurance or to those who do not have enough insurance to cover their medical needs.

These health insurance plans are offered through the Marketplace. This is not a place you go to. The Marketplace the website you go to to sign up for a plan. There are many options and prices you can choose from. All plans in the Marketplace offer a basic set of services that include:
• Doctor visits (For example, well child checks, annual exams, etc.)
• Maternity and newborn care
• Hospital stays
• Dental and Vision
• Prescription medicines

Each plan must treat you fairly and cover your health care needs, even if you already have an illness.
